Connor Chronicles

(in TV on 2008/01/13)

The pilot episode of The Connor Chronicles aired tonight on Fox. All told it was pretty good, but I don’t like the Sarah character too much (not enough chinups-in-the-asylum Linda Hamilton).

While Terminator III wasn’t a total dud, some of the scenes from the pilot trump similiar scenes in the movie. The 2nd episode airs the tomorrow, the day after the pilot. The female terminator (on the Connors’ side) was pretty good, but Kristanna Loken in Terminator III set the bar pretty high.

I’m not sure a sci-fi show like this can really be a hit on primetime network TV, but I think it’s at least more widely appealing than something like stargate or battlestar galactica. If the world was fair to scifi/fantasy, Quantum Leap, War of the Worlds, Werewolf, and My Secret Identity would still be on the air today.

Arrested Development

(in TV on 2007/11/17)

Arrested Development is the greatest sitcom you’ve never watched… A week from now HDNET might start over from Season 1.

I guarantee you would not regret spending $50 on the three-season set

ugh, quality sucks on below, the punchline is better then the lead-in.
